Massey Toyota is the main sponsor of our local SPCA. Massey Toyota donated our old 12,000 sq. foot building to provide a retail and collection area for the SPCA’s Second Chances Thrift Store. This provides a donation center where all the goods that are brought in help generate funds for the SPCA animal shelter and adoption center. It also helps provide affordable clothing, shoes, coats and furniture and other necessary items for our community in need. Massey Toyota also provides a truck so that larger items can be picked up from donors.
Right now the shelter is housed in a cramped 38 year old building. The LC SPCA is currently undertaking a major capital campaign to build a new shelter that will provide better care, better temporary housing and potentially a better place to give these loving animals a Second Chance in life.
